AU-1 FOR EXPANSION JOINTS

AU-1 is an elastomeric, single-component, modified acrylic urethane sealant that is unlike the polyurethane and silicone sealants available on the market. This joint sealant uses high-performance ingredients, including Aqueous Polyurethane Dispersion (PUD), that offer the durability needed for concrete joint applications. 

Other features of AU-1 include its internally plasticized composure. AU-1 contains no plasticizers, making it more eco-friendly and more durable than other sealants. The composition allows for high adhesion and elasticity through all climates, even after years of exposure to rain, snow and sun. Once cured, AU-1 is also resistant to dirt.

In addition to these performance benefits, AU-1 construction joint sealant is easy to apply. Mixing and priming are not required, and the product is simple to gun and tool for quick and neat application .

• Precast Concrete joint panels: When creating a joint between two different precast concrete panels, an elastic sealant is ideal for preventing cracking when the concrete shifts. In addition, the sealant needs to offer durability and adhesion to maintain the integrity of the structure. AU-1 precast concrete joint sealant provides both durability and adhesion through all climates to ensure the stability of the structure.
• Tilt-wall joints: Tilt-up concrete walls use a series of tilted concrete panels to form an exterior wall. Elasticity is required for any concrete joints, and tilt-up walls also need ease of application to keep the process moving effectively. AU-1 does not require any mixing or priming, and it's quick to gun and tool, with soap & water clean-up. Tilt-up, or precast panels can be placed efficiently with the help of AU-1, and the product will last through years of weather and concrete expansion.
